I would like to suggest a new feature to be added to the next update of FSOpen server. I think it would benefit us all that like me, who don't have a dedicated server, to be able to have the same functionality in terms of the chat box communication with the server as clients do. For example, directly from the server application, we could request a metar for an airport, or be able to check the last five persons to speak. I do understand that the software is written so this wouldn't be possible since it doesn't pick up the hosts aircraft being part of the session. Would there be a way for this scripting to happen or some way to get around this? Thank you Dave and everyone else to protecting our hobby! |

I do understand why this would be challenging so for now I will leave it alone. I do think that in the future, maybe a group of you and server host could help create a pro software and that hopefully would take the load off you. Kind Regards, Spencer |
