Ken Ratcliffe 21st Dec 2012 19:58:40 | Hi Dave
Sorry to be a pain in the neck, Iam using a BT router & have gone though all the port forwarding setup which seems to be ok. But my friends are unable to connect to me. I show up in the session but thats it. Am i getting confused with the device ip and internal ip. I have completly removed all firewalls thinking that they be the problem. Thank you for your help Ken Ratcliffe |
Steff Missot ![]() 21st Dec 2012 20:28:46 | Okay hey ken,
A internal ip is the IP from your PC to your router. So lets say you have 5 PC's connected to a router, those PC's will all have a internal IP 192.168.0.101 192.168.0.102 etc. Then a external IP is the IP from your router to your ISP which would be the IP where you should connect to(this is only one IP address). If you forward ports on your router you forward them to your internal IP's. I'd be happy to help you get set-up, tell me when u have time. |
