Seems in the past day or so, the iframe link is not reporting the correct speed or altitude. All pilots listed as 0 speed at 250000 feet, while looking on the server itself they are flying.

Disregard, it now appears to be working correctly. Not sure what was up there.

At that altitude and speed... that would appear you are seeing a user using the VRS F-18E w/TacPack. These are "place holders" if you will.. and not actually real aircraft.
This will typically happen on a server which is TacPack enabled.. and you yourself do not have TacPack.

It is VRS w/TP, however, not necessarily as you described. It seems the actual pilots are showing up that way on initial join or when they get spawned after getting shot down or crash. After a minute or two, the actual pilots info is displayed.

As for the "place holders" you reference, there are typically 24 of those placed around the the host location (you can use Plan-G or other tool to see them). As players join, they create similar place holders at lat/lon 0/0, however, others in the area of the host are created as weapons are fired, etc.

I have also seen a player being displayed at 0/250000. It can stay there for a while... then "eventually" corrects to the proper location. From what I have seen, this is simply due an intermittent data loss between your host server and the FSOpen server. A check on this would be to see IF you are getting any "TIME OUT" errors on the FSOpen Server status page... that means you had a temporally lost connecting to the FSOpen server.. (it will auto reconnect)

Other NON FSOPEN related items:
In the case of VRS.. a lot of items are initially placed at 0/0 and then cleared out. They did fix the physically aircraft itself.. in the newest .4 beta release.

ALSO, remember.. every aircraft will carry a lot of objects with it... as it is in the session. I have seen as many as 150 objects at 0/0. Again.. these normally do not hurt anything. This includes tankers, carriers.. drones.. sams..etc.. ALSO, any NON TacPack aircraft/objects will also be given objects. That is why you can shoot from point A to point B. A lot of these objects can show at 0/0 in Plan G.. again.. shouldn't hurt anything.

IT IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED.. you DO NOT use OBJECT CACHING IN THE TPM... when running multiplayer... this will dump all your objects at 0/0 initially.. and they may NOT automatically clear out. (see the VRS forum on this topic.)

One final thing....PLAN G does not always identify objects correctly.... keep this in mind... it only knows it's an object... and can say anything.

Any chance of getting another green ONLINE scripted that included the number of pilots online? Such as 0-ONLINE or 8-ONLINE, etc. It would help to let other pilots know when others are flying at first glance.

Sorry no, Not convinced its a good idea. I'd rather encourage people to the sessions page to look who's on line anyway.

Never version of which should be up pretty soon!
