Russell Haddock  23rd Jul 2012 23:07:54 | I would like to thank you for a great software FSOpen. I now however have some questions, that I have not found in my reading of the site and forum.
1. I am correct in saying that you can run fsopen server while hosting on gamespy or stand alone in direct connect. 2. ATC will only show up if someone joins as a ATC on the system. 3. Is there anyway to keep chat from popping up so often. 4. If I am running AI traffic on direct connect does it show up on other players computers like FSHost. 5. I have good connect with FSopen.co.uk while running server, however none of the help inputs show up on the server machine. Or do I need to log on as a player to get the inputs. Once again thank you for taking on such a project, You Sir's set the standard for others to follow. |

Yes 2. ATC will only show up if someone joins as a ATC on the system. ATC shows when a player in your session uses the !Tcommand or uses flight strips. 3. Is there anyway to keep chat from popping up so often. You change the autopost message from 1 to 5 minutes. You need a dedicated server to run this so its not an issue. 4. | Russell Haddock 24th Jul 2012 16:20:43 | Thank you for the answers. On question 4. if I understand correctly, the server will see ai traffic. However it will not broadcast that information to the other players computers.
My pilots also pointed out last night. That one player logged on as a ATC, and on the map placed in Nigeria, not KHRT where he was. |
